The machine features a specialized automatic gripper system that picks up each vial by the neck and inverts it. This allows the vials to travel in a "neck-down" position over the washing nozzles. This orientation ensures that cleaning media can penetrate the core of the vial and drain effectively, providing a superior wash compared to standard upright methods.

To ensure complete decontamination and compliance with cGMP standards, the machine typically provides 6 internal washing stations featuring:

  • 3 Water Washes: Utilizing media such as Recycled Water, DM Water, and WFI (Water for Injection).
