Automatic Injectable Vial Dry Powder Filling & Stoppering Machine (Double Wheel / Head)
High-Speed Precision for Sterile Injectables
The Harsiddh Automatic Double Wheel Injectable Dry Powder Filler is the ultimate solution for large-scale pharmaceutical packaging. Designed for 5ml to 30ml glass vials, this machine offers double the output of single-wheel models without compromising on aseptic standards. Its volumetric principle, combined with mechanical agitators and nitrogen flushing, ensures that every vial is filled with clinical precision and hermetically sealed with a rubber stopper.
Reliable Operational Workflow
The machine provides a continuous, high-speed automated cycle.
Sequence of Operation:
- Automated In-feed: Vials are transferred from a rotary turn table onto a high-quality SS flat conveyor belt.
- Dual Volumetric Filling: Sterile powder is agitated in two hoppers and drawn into the double wheels via vacuum. A doctor blade scraps off excess powder before discharge.
- Real-Time Monitoring: Sensors check for vial jams or absence; if a vial is missing, the filling and stoppering stations are automatically bypassed for that cycle.
- Precision Stoppering: Immediately following the dual-fill, vials move to the stoppering station where rubber stoppers (20mm) are accurately positioned and pressed.
- Clean Discharge: Sealed vials are discharged via an out-feed turn table, ready for aluminum capping and inspection.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the machine achieve precise dosing for dry powders?
The machine operates on a Vacuum-Pressure Principle. The dosing wheel contains precisely machined cavities; a vacuum suctions the exact volume of powder into the cavity, and then sterilized compressed air (or Nitrogen) discharges the powder into the vial. This method ensures a high filling accuracy of ±1% to 2%, even for fine pharmaceutical powders that do not flow easily.
Can the machine handle different vial sizes and powder volumes?
Yes. The Harsiddh Double Wheel model is highly versatile and can process glass vials ranging from 2ml to 100ml. To change the fill volume, the operator can adjust the piston depth within the dosing wheel or swap the dosing wheel for a different cavity size. The machine also features "Quick-Change" parts for different vial diameters, ensuring minimal downtime during batch transitions.
How are the vials stoppered after the powder filling process?
Immediately after the two filling wheels, the vials are transported to the Automatic Stoppering Station. Rubber stoppers are fed via a sterilized vibratory bowl feeder. The machine uses a synchronized "Pick & Place" mechanism to partially or fully insert the stoppers into the vial necks. This integrated process ensures the powder is protected from environmental humidity and contamination immediately after filling.
What are the key cGMP and sterile integrity features?
As a cGMP-compliant unit built for injectable-grade environments, the machine includes:
Material Integrity: All powder contact parts are made of SS 316L, and the exterior is polished SS 304 stainless steel.
Safety Sensors: Includes "No Vial – No Fill" and "No Vial – No Stopper" sensors to prevent product wastage and ensure every vial is correctly processed.
Laminar Air Flow (LAF) Compatibility: The slim, linear design is optimized for installation under a Class 100 LAF unit to maintain a sterile atmosphere throughout the filling and stoppering cycle.
Advanced Automation: Controlled via a centralized PLC with a Touchscreen HMI, providing real-time production data and diagnostic alerts.
